WEIGHING

The drawing “Weighing” is part of a series titled “Art about Art,” through which I explore various facets of my artistic practice.

For centuries, humanity has grappled with the question: should one follow the head or the heart? Philosophers, thinkers, and artists have often aligned themselves with one side of this enduring debate. Yet, this false dichotomy oversimplifies a far more complex reality. Why choose one over the other when we can embrace both?

In my art, I find that the most compelling creations emerge from integrating the logic and rationality of the mind with the passion and intuition of the heart. It’s about weighing each perspective within its context, discerning wisdom from folly, and discovering a balance that allows both to coexist harmoniously.
