THE ABSURDITY OF TIME
Graphite and charcoal on paper
29.7 x 21.0 cm
The drawing “The Absurdity of Time” is part of a series titled “Art about Art,” through which I explore various facets of my artistic practice.
The piece features a variety of clocks—some without hands, others missing dials, some with numbers jumbled or running backwards—illustrating the fluid and often nonsensical nature of time when one is deeply engrossed in their craft. As I immerse myself in drawing, time seems to both stand still and pass in the blink of an eye. When we are in a state of flow, time ceases to be a rigid structure and instead becomes an elusive, almost surreal experience.
