SOLITUDE
Graphite and charcoal on paper
29.7 x 21.0 cm
The drawing “Solitude” is part of a series titled “Art about Art,” through which I explore various facets of my artistic practice.
Art-making, for me, is a deeply solitary pursuit. I spend hours alone behind my drawing desk. There’s something almost sacred about these quiet hours, just me and the paper, immersed in the stillness that surrounds me. Solitude is where I find clarity, where I connect with myself and the work in front of me, giving it my full attention, free from distractions. It is a space where I can reflect and stumble upon new ideas. It’s where I recharge to allow inspiration to flow more freely. For me, solitude is not just a condition of creation but a source of it.
