PORTRAIT OF A BOY

Colored pencil on paper

20 x 30 cm

In this drawing, I sought to capture the essence of childhood—the purity, curiosity, and wonder that comes with discovering the world. The lone figure of the boy, standing in an open field, represents both innocence and possibility. His gaze is focused, as if he is on the edge of exploring something new, a metaphor for the journey of growing up.

The vastness of the green field around him symbolizes freedom—both the limitless potential of youth and the wide-open spaces where imagination can flourish. At the same time, the boy's small stature amidst the landscape reflects the vulnerability and fragility of this stage of life.

It reminds us that, in childhood, there is a profound beauty in simply being—untouched by the weight of the world.
