DOG
Graphite and charcoal on paper

I’ll admit, I’m not really a “dog person.” I usually find their boundless energy a bit overwhelming, especially when they’re jumping all over you, trying to lick your face, or getting way too excited. But I have to say, there are some dogs I truly vibe with—those that are calm, with a wise energy of a wise old soul.
This drawing is of one of those dogs—the kind that reminds me of a gentle, laid-back spirit. Even if I’m not a fan of all dogs, I really enjoyed capturing the essence of this one.
