CONQUEROR OF OBSTACLES

The drawing “Conqueror of Obstacles” is part of a series titled “Art about Art,” through which I explore various facets of my artistic practice.
I love the texture of an elephant's skin—rugged, wrinkled, and deeply patterned, each line and crease telling a story of endurance and resilience. In several cultures, the elephant is seen as a symbol of overcoming obstacles. This symbolism captures the spirit of creating art, where the process is often messy, filled with mistakes, corrections, and countless adjustments. Yet, through this constant cycle of error and iteration, an artwork emerges. In many ways, each piece is a testament to overcoming obstacles—a reminder that what might look like a collection of mistakes can, through patience, persistence, and creativity, become something beautiful.
